Having just bid farewell to the royal palace of the Kingdom of Tianzhu, the group had not traveled far when heart-wrenching cries for help suddenly erupted from the direction of the palace behind them. Billowing black smoke rose above the royal grounds, and flames lit up the sky.

"Oh no! Something has happened at the palace!" Sun Wukong (Monkey King) whipped his head around, his Fiery Golden Eyes piercing through the distance. His expression drastically changed.

Without a moment's delay, the group turned back and sprinted toward the palace. Bursting through the gates, they were met with a shocking scene. The Jade Rabbit Demon, having taken on the appearance of the princess, sat high upon the Emperor's throne with a terrifyingly fierce expression. Hordes of lesser demons were wreaking havoc in every direction. Royal guards and ordinary citizens lay scattered across the ground. Many suffered from ulcerated, oozing skin and severely swollen, deformed joints. Some were even showing critical signs of kidney damage, groaning in agony on the floor.

Sha Wujing (Sandy) gripped his Demon-Subduing Staff tightly, his brows locked together, and his tone heavy. "Master, what exactly is the origin of this Jade Rabbit Demon? Why is the destruction it causes several times more vicious than the monster that disguised itself as the princess just moments ago?"

Tang Sanzang stepped forward slowly, extending his fingers as a faint white light emanated from them to examine the wounded. After a moment, he withdrew his hand, his expression incredibly grave. "This Jade Rabbit Demon represents abnormal autoantibodies. It is releasing massive amounts of misleading signals, inducing B cells to endlessly manufacture autoantibodies that attack our own tissues. Instead of fighting foreign enemies, these antibodies are attacking the human body's own organs. The antibodies bind with the body's tissues, forming immune complexes that deposit in the kidneys, joints, and other areas, causing extremely severe autoimmune damage."

"What a wicked monster!" Wukong’s fury shot straight to his head. With a loud shout, he swung his Golden Cudgel and charged fiercely toward the Jade Rabbit Demon on the throne. However, just as he closed the distance, an invisible force crashed into him. Wukong's body suddenly went limp, the strength rapidly draining from his arms, and his cudgel nearly slipped from his grasp.

"What is going on?!" Wukong stumbled back two steps, his face full of disbelief. "Master! I have no strength in my body! This demonic aura can directly suppress my killing power!"

Zhu Bajie (Pigsy) and Sha Wujing were similarly trapped in a desperate situation. The Treg (Regulatory T cell) subsets within Bajie's body were heavily suppressed, losing their ability to act as the immune system's "brakes." Meanwhile, the Th2 subsets became uncontrollably overactivated, forcing Wujing to constantly produce harmful antibodies that attacked the body itself. Massive amounts of these autoantibodies roamed freely inside the human body, continuously depositing in the kidneys and joints. The three princes, severely hindered by the abnormal antibodies, were completely unable to utilize their helper abilities. Even the White Dragon Horse’s mucosal barrier was heavily compromised by the abnormal antibodies, leaving it riddled with holes.

Inside the grand palace hall, wails echoed one after another; the situation was exceptionally critical.

Seeing this, Tang Sanzang immediately sat cross-legged, his expression resolute. "Bajie! Rapidly and massively activate your Treg subsets! Suppress those abnormal B cells and cut off the source of these endless autoantibodies! Wukong, break through the suppressive force and eliminate the Jade Rabbit Demon and the rioting abnormal B cells! Wujing, stop synthesizing destructive autoantibodies! Overwhelming suppressive signals flooded the area, forcefully crushing the crazed, overactivated Th2 subsets and tightly restraining the abnormal B cells that were producing the harmful antibodies.

"Stop! You are forbidden from generating any more self-damaging antibodies!" Zhu Bajie roared loudly.

Simultaneously, a small number of normal Th1 and Th2 subsets began to function, providing necessary assistance to the immune cells. Receiving the IL-2 and IFN-gamma released by the Th1 cells, Wukong felt his suppressed strength returning little by little.

Sha Wujing broke free from the deception of the false signals and ceased producing the self-attacking antibodies. Waves of specific antibodies and regulatory antibodies targeting the Jade Rabbit Demon poured out. The specific antibodies tagged the Jade Rabbit Demon and the abnormal B cells, while the regulatory antibodies neutralized the autoantibodies that were already roaming throughout the body, stopping them from continuing to adhere to human tissues and thereby reducing organ damage.

"Attack!" Having regained his full battle prowess, Sun Wukong let out a mighty roar, wielding his Golden Cudgel as he charged straight for the throne. The Jade Rabbit Demon shrieked, constantly releasing autoantibodies in an attempt to suppress Wukong once more. Wukong dodged nimbly, every strike of his cudgel swift and merciless.

"Quickly, clear out these rioting abnormal B cells!" the eldest prince shouted. The three princes wove through the battlefield, clearing out the lesser demons while simultaneously transmitting immune repair factors to help the injured citizens in the palace heal their damaged organs.

The White Dragon Horse transformed into a vigorous white dragon, soaring above the great hall. Dragon breath cascaded downward, slowly mending the shattered mucosal barrier and secreting massive amounts of secretory IgA to rebuild the defenses.

The clash of weapons inside the hall was deafening. After a brutal, life-and-death struggle, Wukong seized a fatal opening and landed a devastating blow on the Jade Rabbit Demon with his Golden Cudgel. The Jade Rabbit Demon let out a bloodcurdling scream. Just then, the clouds in the sky parted, and the Fairy Chang'e, robes fluttering, descended upon a cloud.

"Wicked beast! You descended to the mortal realm without permission and caused such slaughter here!" Chang'e sighed. With a wave of her sleeve, she collected the defeated Jade Rabbit to take it back to the Moon Palace for strict discipline.

With the Jade Rabbit Demon taken away, the source inducing the abnormal antibodies completely vanished. The abnormal B cells were eliminated one by one. The autoantibodies roaming the body and the immune complexes deposited everywhere were gradually engulfed and broken down by macrophages.

Tang Sanzang continuously released immune repair factors, treating the injured citizens and palace attendants. The damage to their kidneys, joints, and skin slowly healed, and the agonizing groans gradually faded away.

The King and Queen, having survived the disaster, bowed repeatedly to the master and his disciples in deep gratitude.

As the battle concluded, the smoke of war still lingered in the great hall. Tang Sanzang looked at the group and solemnly delivered a teaching: "If B cells lose their regulation and endlessly produce autoantibodies that attack our own body, it will lead to a catastrophe. Public Education: Immunity Explanation Notes

• B Cells and Autoantibodies: B cells are the factories of the immune system responsible for producing antibodies to fight infections. However, when they malfunction or are misled (like by the Jade Rabbit Demon), they can produce "autoantibodies"—rogue antibodies that mistakenly target and attack the body's own healthy tissues.

• Immune Complexes and Organ Damage: When autoantibodies bind to healthy body tissues, they form clusters called "immune complexes." These clumps can travel through the bloodstream and get stuck (deposited) in vital areas like the kidneys, joints, and skin. This deposition triggers severe inflammation, leading to kidney damage, joint deformity, and skin ulcers—classic symptoms of severe autoimmune diseases like Lupus.

• Regulatory T Cells (Tregs) as the "Brakes": Tregs (represented by Zhu Bajie's actions) are crucial for stopping autoimmune attacks. They release calming signals (like IL-10 and TGF-beta) that suppress hyperactive B cells and stop them from producing more harmful autoantibodies, effectively putting the brakes on the immune system's self-destruction.

• Macrophages (The Cleanup Crew): Once the source of the autoimmune attack is stopped, the body needs to clean up the mess. Macrophages act as the immune system's garbage collectors, swallowing up and breaking down the leftover autoantibodies and immune complexes, allowing the body to finally begin the healing process.

« Oh non ! Il s'est passé quelque chose au palais ! » Sun Wukong (le Roi Singe) se retourna brusquement, ses Yeux d'Or Flamboyants perçant l'horizon. Son expression changea radicalement.

Sans hésiter, le groupe fit demi-tour et se précipita vers le palais. En franchissant les portes, ils découvrirent une scène terrifiante. Le Démon Lapin de Jade, ayant pris l'apparence de la princesse, trônait sur le trône impérial, le visage empli d'une expression d'une férocité terrifiante. Des hordes de démons inférieurs semaient la destruction de toutes parts. Gardes royaux et citoyens ordinaires gisaient éparpillés sur le sol. Nombre d'entre eux souffraient d'ulcères suintants et d'articulations gravement enflées et déformées. Certains présentaient même des signes critiques d'insuffisance rénale et gémissaient de douleur.

Sha Wujing (Sandy) serra fermement son Bâton de Domptage des Démons, les sourcils froncés, la voix grave. « Maître, quelle est l'origine exacte de ce Démon Lapin de Jade ? Pourquoi les ravages qu'il cause sont-ils plusieurs fois plus violents que ceux du monstre qui s'est déguisé en princesse il y a quelques instants ? »

Cette aura démoniaque peut littéralement anéantir ma puissance meurtrière ! » Zhu Bajie (Pigsy) et Sha Wujing se trouvaient eux aussi pris au piège d'une situation désespérée. Les lymphocytes T régulateurs (Treg) de Bajie étaient fortement inhibés, incapables de réguler le système immunitaire. Parallèlement, les lymphocytes Th2 étaient hyperactifs, forçant Wujing à produire constamment des auto-anticorps nocifs qui s'attaquaient à son propre organisme. Ces auto-anticorps circulaient en grande quantité dans le corps, se déposant continuellement dans les reins et les articulations. Gravement handicapés par ces anticorps anormaux, les trois princes étaient incapables d'utiliser leurs pouvoirs. Simultanément, quelques sous-populations Th1 et Th2 normales se mirent à fonctionner, apportant l'aide nécessaire aux cellules immunitaires. Grâce à l'IL-2 et à l'IFN-γ libérés par les cellules Th1, Wukong sentit ses forces revenir peu à peu.

Sha Wujing se libéra de l'illusion des faux signaux et cessa de produire les anticorps autodestructeurs. « Attaquez ! » Ayant retrouvé toute sa puissance de combat, Sun Wukong laissa échapper un rugissement puissant, brandissant son gourdin d'or et chargeant droit vers le trône. Le Démon Lapin de Jade hurla, libérant sans cesse des auto-anticorps pour tenter une nouvelle fois de soumettre Wukong. Ce dernier esquiva avec agilité, chaque coup de son gourdin étant rapide et impitoyable.

« Vite, éliminez ces lymphocytes B anormaux en pleine émeute ! » cria le prince aîné. Les trois princes traversèrent le champ de bataille, éliminant les démons mineurs tout en transmettant des facteurs de réparation immunitaire pour aider les citoyens blessés du palais à soigner leurs organes endommagés.

Le Cheval Dragon Blanc se transforma en un puissant dragon blanc, planant au-dessus de la grande salle. Son souffle draconique se répandit vers le bas, réparant lentement la barrière muqueuse brisée et sécrétant d'énormes quantités d'IgA sécrétoire pour reconstruire les défenses immunitaires.

Le fracas des armes dans la salle était assourdissant. Après un combat brutal et mortel, Wukong saisit une ouverture fatale et porta un coup dévastateur au Démon Lapin de Jade avec son gourdin d'or. Le Démon Lapin de Jade poussa un cri à glacer le sang. Soudain, les nuages s'écartèrent et la Fée Chang'e, sa robe flottant au vent, descendit sur un nuage.

« Bête maléfique ! Tu es descendue dans le monde des mortels sans permission et tu as provoqué un tel carnage !» soupira Chang'e. D'un geste de la manche, elle ramassa le Lapin de Jade vaincu pour le ramener au Palais de la Lune où il serait sévèrement puni.

Le Démon Lapin de Jade vaincu, la source des anticorps anormaux disparut complètement. Les lymphocytes B anormaux furent éliminés un à un. Les auto-anticorps circulant dans le corps et les complexes immuns disséminés furent progressivement phagocytés et dégradés par les macrophages.

Tang Sanzang libéra continuellement des facteurs de réparation immunitaire, soignant les citoyens blessés et les serviteurs du palais. Leurs lésions rénales, articulaires et cutanées se résorbèrent lentement, et leurs gémissements de douleur s'estompèrent peu à peu.

Le Roi et la Reine, ayant survécu au désastre, s'inclinèrent à plusieurs reprises devant le maître et ses disciples, emplis de profonde gratitude.

La bataille terminée, la fumée des combats persistait dans la grande salle. Le groupe fit ses adieux au palais royal de Tianzhu et reprit sa route vers l'ouest. En direction de la préfecture de Tongtai, une affaire injuste liée au dépôt de complexes immuns les attendait déjà.

• Lymphocytes B et auto-anticorps : Les lymphocytes B sont les usines du système immunitaire, responsables de la production d'anticorps pour combattre les infections.
