Following a series of desperate cries for help, the master and his three disciples dashed toward Shancha Ridge. The mountain was high, the forests dense, and a thick mist swirled through the trees, making it hard to see. The air was heavy with a pungent, "demonic" stench that made them cough—a clear sign that something sinister was lurking. This was no ordinary forest; it felt like a cold, eerie wasteland.
Sun Wukong (the Monkey King) frowned, gripping his Golden Cudgel tightly. "Master, something is wrong. The 'demonic energy' here is overwhelming and strange. It feels like a massive swarm of invaders, and they seem much stronger than the ones we faced before."
Zhu Bajie (Pigsy) scratched his head nervously, huddling closer to Wukong. "Master, I feel it too! There are so many of them, packed together like a carpet of monsters. We have to be careful not to walk into a trap!"
Sha Wujing (Sandy) tightened his grip on his staff. "Master, I am ready. As soon as second brother (Pigsy) activates me, I can mass-produce 'Magic Treasures' (Antibodies) to help clear these demons out!"
Tang Monk stood at the entrance of the forest, his voice calm but firm. "Stay alert, everyone. Shancha Ridge is the first line of defense for the 'Great Tang Kingdom'—it is our Skin and Mucous Membrane Barrier. These demons are actually Exogenous Bacteria trying to break through our 'Great Gate.' If they succeed, they will harm the commoners (our body's cells) and cause 'Great Chaos' (Inflammation). We must hold the line!"
He paused to teach his disciples: "These bacteria are like rude invaders wearing thick suits of armor (Cell Walls). They are hard to break with brute force alone, and they release toxins to poison the land. To win, we must trigger a Full Immune Response. Wukong, Bajie, Sandy—you must work in perfect harmony."
Suddenly, three terrifying demons leapt from the shadows. The leader was General Yin, a hulking tiger-demon with a jagged steel blade. Behind him were Mountain Lord Xiong (a bear) and Te Chushi (a bull).
"Tang Monk! Monkey King!" General Yin roared, his eyes flashing with malice. "You have nerve entering Shancha Ridge. This is our base for invading the Great Tang! Today, you die here!"
"You loud-mouthed monster!" Wukong yelled, lunging forward. "I’ll wipe you out and secure this border myself!"
The battle exploded into chaos. Wukong’s cudgel clashed against General Yin’s blade with a deafening clang. Meanwhile, the bear and bull demons lunged at Pigsy and Sandy. The forest rang with the sound of war.

However, the disciples soon realized they were in trouble. Wukong noticed that General Yin’s "armor" (the bacterial cell wall) was incredibly thick. His strikes, usually bone-shattering, only left shallow dents. Pigsy was struggling too; the bear demon’s strength was immense, and Pigsy was soon panting for breath, bruised and bleeding. Sandy was barely holding his own against the bull demon, unable to create his "Magic Treasures" because he hadn't been fully "activated" yet.
Tang Monk realized that brute force wouldn't work against these Gram-positive bacteria. He closed his eyes and activated his Pattern Recognition Receptors (PRRs)—his internal "scanners." He identified the demons' "weak spots"—the Peptidoglycan and Lipoteichoic Acid in their armor.
"Bajie!" Tang Monk shouted. "Pass the Battle Signals (Cytokines like IL-2 and IFN-γ) to Wukong and Sandy! Wukong needs your signal to boost his killing power to break that armor! Sandy needs your signal to start producing Magic Treasures (IgM Antibodies) to neutralize their toxins!"
"On it!" Pigsy roared. Despite his injuries, a red light glowed around him as he released a flood of chemical signals toward his brothers. "Wukong! Sandy! Here’s the boost! Give 'em everything you’ve got!"
Receiving the signal, Wukong felt a surge of divine power. His eyes glowed gold. He spun his cudgel, using his "72 Transformations" to create a thousand copies of himself. They all struck at once, targeting General Yin’s weak spot: the Peptidoglycan in his chest armor. CRACK! The armor shattered, the demon's blade snapped, and General Yin collapsed, howling in pain.
At the same time, Sandy’s staff began to glow brilliantly. He began to multiply and differentiate, releasing a flood of IgM Antibodies. These "treasures" acted like tiny specialized handcuffs, flying toward the bear and bull demons. They latched onto the monsters, neutralizing their poisons and slowing them down.
"What is this? My strength is draining!" Mountain Lord Xiong cried out. Pigsy seized the moment, swinging his rake with all his might. "This is what happens when you invade the Great Tang!" With a final blow, the bear demon dissolved into a cloud of black smoke. Wukong quickly finished off the bull demon with a single, swift strike.
Seeing his comrades destroyed, General Yin fell to his knees, trembling. "Mercy, Great Monk! I’ll never do it again! Please, let me live!"
Wukong raised his cudgel to finish him, but Tang Monk stopped him. "Wait, Wukong. This general is the leader. He can tell us where the rest of the invaders are hiding. If we don't clear the whole nest, the 'Great Tang' will never be safe."
Tang Monk looked at the demon. "General Yin, tell us where your hidden camp is, and I shall spare you."
Terrified, the demon stammered, "We are Gram-positive bacteria... there are thousands more of us deep in the ridge! We planned to break the first defense and cause a massive infection! I'll take you to the nest, just please, don't kill me!"
Tang Monk’s expression became grim. "It seems the battle has just begun. If we don't wipe them out, the people will suffer. Wukong, Bajie, Sandy—let us go deep into the ridge and secure our borders once and for all!"
The four heroes marched deeper into the forest, ready for the next phase of the invasion.

Educational Note:
• IgM Antibodies are the body's "First Responders." They are the first antibodies produced when the body encounters a new invader. They are great at neutralizing toxins and clumping pathogens together.
• Gram-positive bacteria are characterized by a very thick cell wall made primarily of Peptidoglycan, which serves as a key target for the immune system to recognize.
